The Stage Bus
The Mellors Family have been involved in presenting to the public for over 4 generations. As a business steeped in Nottingham’s community, they have, over the years been a trendsetter to which others in the industry follow.

Funderworld (voted in the top three Tourist attractions in Bournemouth 2006) is just one arm of the Mellors business group. Recognising that as the community changes its leisure practice it too must provide a competitive and innovative service, so Mellors has had to plan for the future

It is spoken that the days of the Fun fair are numbered, when a playstation becomes affordable for most families and with games for ps2 costing £20.00 equating to 8-10 rides at a normal fair, Mellors saw a gap in the market and now run a UK wide Funderworld mobile theme park, where a one price entry provides all rides and entertainments including live music each day ( often utilising local musicians)and a national Karaoke competition at each site, all within the ticket price. Linked to that, a secured fenced site with quality amenities plus badged crowd safety staff, first aiders and cctv, allows a comfort zone for parents. Each Funderworld also puts on a special charity day for organisations working with young people and families. Run by its own community team, over 70.000 tickets have been provided to these organisations raising over £20,000 for local charities.

In marketing terms Funderworld is a UK leader. Each event is marketed via regional television and radio, newspaper adverts, 48 sheeters, Tside and bus backs, not to mention thousands of quality flyers and posters. No wonder then that Funderworld markets to a one and a half drive time audience. A great opportunity for local authorities to jump on the bandwagon and make Funderworld a part of their entertainment profile! Encouraging new tourism

The Mellors Family constantly invest in new machinery, keeping ahead of the game. There is nowhere else in the country where a single showman has the range of ride attractions as The Mellors group. What readers may not realise is that these One million pound machines are available to hire. Hence Mellors attendance at events such as Gods Kitchen and more recently for a Damian Hurst event or even taking over Cardiff’s Millennium stadium during Christmas 2006.

Film shoots and standalone events, where Mellors can organise anything from single machines to over 30, are very popular, as event organisers seek to enhance their event / festival offer and in the knowledge that the mellors brand stands for quality, organisers can be assured a stress free relationship, a rare commodity in these regulated and financially straightened times.
